Like many of you all over the world we found ourselves as individuals, family, and community members faced with the undeniable changes brought by the recent years. Amongst the uncertainty and the fear came a powerful desire to broaden perspective, re-evaluate choices and give ourselves permission (and grace) to re-invent our paths moving forward. During this period, with the blessing of unprecedented extra time (and extra stress), plants became the vehicle for self-care, mental health, and artistic expression. Bringing nature home beautified the space, soothed the soul, and provided ample active meditation. Care for the plants and care for self became intertwined, along with our frequent trips to the Nursery.

What started as a life-line to sanity and wellness, grew as a passion, and gave birth to Rooting for You. Our small nursery and plant shop is family owned and operated and hopes to be sharing the gift of plants and wellness with our community. We are elated to be Rooting for You, both literally and figuratively! Come check out our beautiful selection of both common and unique plants, as well as our biophilic space geared towards learning, relaxing, and connecting with like- minded members of our wonderful community.

We celebrate you, the reader, the patron and now friend who continue to return, allowing us to grow together and develop bonds in Las Vegas locally and beyond. OUR PROMISE

We aim to create a space you want to bring your friends to see. An atmosphere both vibrant and relaxing...more than just a retail store or nursery. We hope you become part of the fabric of the store, and have many experiences enjoying our plants and each other through the years. All of our creations are lovingly crafted by our family and our staff. We hope you enjoy our creative twists. If you experience anything less than a top notch customer experience, we will do our best to become better hosts. Family, community, and growth await.

The Story Behind Rooting For You

Plants have brought much to our family. First it began with a boat trip to the Amazon River. We saw amazing things! Then, in our house was the “live plant wall”. It was up and ready for Thanksgiving 2018. A bunch of plants hanging on the wall became a topic of conversation. An eye-catching piece of art in our home.

With each new planter placed around the house, the collection grew. New plants appeared on the side of the stairs, around corners and hanging from the ceiling. More for the eye to see and for a second you found yourself a bit lost in its essence.

Pandemic road trips benefited the backyard as it gained succulents craving 75 degree California air. Get the misters, shade those babies, protect them from the sun! That’s right, while she already had human & furry ones, plants became her new babies. Momma Bear found planting as her active meditation, propelling her to new plant heights in 2020 & 2021.

I may have opened my big mouth (more than once). Wow honey, that’s a lot plants. You always talk about your plants. We have so many plants, we can open a store…uh oh. If I said it, she was already thinking it. Not only thinking it, she had it designed, the vibe figured out and how it would add value to our community. 2022 the idea blossomed into a business. 2023 we are excited for the privilege to share it with you.

In the second half of 2023, we expanded into the space next door, recreating an office atmosphere into our beautiful Creative Studio, private event space and plant lounge. Created for Photographers, Podcasters and content creators to have a space to grow their art. This Studio quickly turned into a space for families to celebrate big life events. Hosting countless baby showers, graduation parties, business launches and team building events in 2024, Rooting For You became more than just a store. It became a hub for the community to go to when personal interaction is needed most. A place for families to celebrate milestones and happiness. A room to seek relaxation with events ranging from Yoga, Reiki and Soundbath to personal development, team bonding and sales development. A space for young, upcoming artists to hone their passion and perform for the community. Even our own family has utilized the space for kids birthday parties, live performances and personal development. All to help continue to grow and service the community better as we build our brand. We pledge to continue to develop ourselves along with our unique concept not seen anywhere in the Las Vegas Valley.

Plants are life… planty things are art… hummingbirds are cool, lets drink a beer.
